Make Your Own Video Training Academy was set up by video production experts to teach businesses, sole traders and organisations how to make their own promotional videos using mobile devices.
In our rapidly-changing digital landscape, the one-off ‘hero’ video is no longer enough as a promotional tool; consumers are hungry for fresh digital content on a regular basis. Businesses are responding by taking their video production in-house and doing it themselves. Whilst there’s still very much a need for professional video production for specialist projects, we want to help brands improve their self-made content by teaching them how to plan, shoot, edit and upload their own high quality promotional videos for web and social media.

We offer practical workshops, books and online courses based around a set of simple video templates we call our Video Storyboards. As business owners ourselves, we understand time is tight, so our mission is to give you the skills and tools to make your own promo videos quickly, simply and effectively without the need for expensive equipment.

RUTH DUGGAL
GLYN ALLEN
Glyn Allen is a video producer, director, camera operator, editor and motion graphic artist with 20 years experience in broadcast television, event management and video production. Glyn is a self-confessed ‘tech head’ with an addiction for the latest gear. When not working, Glyn loves travelling, sampling rare whiskeys, snowboarding, flying his drone and mountain biking.
Ruth Duggal is a video producer, director, writer and editor with 20 years experience in producing videos for businesses and organisations. She is a published feature writer with a passion for human interest storytelling. In her spare time she enjoys walking, singing in a contemporary choir and podcasting.
